Baldness Cures From The Past

The "Bicycle Helmet" cure

Some people have described it as looking like a badly fitting bicycle helmet but a French inventor claims it represents a cure for baldness.

It's claimed the BX3.4 beams electromagnetic rays into the scalp to bring dead hair follicles back to life.

The device's makers say it's absolutely safe - its rays are 1000 times weaker than those from a mobile phone.

They claim it will promote a full head of hair within 18 months and they've even got the backing of French government scientists, who claim it does some good in 95 per cent of cases.

The BX3.4 is selling at the rate of 200 a day in chemist shops in France and costs about $US900.

One of the gadget's testers, Olivier Harfaut, says he's been using the device for three months and is delighted with the results.

Mr Harfaut claims to have a lot of new growth at the front of his scalp and says there is also downy fluff sprouting on his crown.

He says people are telling him his hair looks thicker.
